What are the best all terrain tires for my 2011 Ford-F150 Platinum?
I'm looking for a good set of All terrain tires. I would like for them to preform well in Mud, Dirt and on streets. I was hoping to get some that make make my truck look cool also. It would also be nice it the humming of the tires was minimal. I if anyone has any ideas please let me know I'm open to all ideas. My tuck does not have a lift but if you think getting the tires would require a lift please let me know and if you know let me know how high the lift should be please also share that information. I have attached a pic of my truck. A final fact is that I'm extremely uneducated not he matter so any information that you could provide concerning this subject is much appreciated.
Added (1). One quick update. I would like to thank Mr. Crown Question mark for his great point. I'm looking for some big tires that I will spend 90% of my time on the street. And 10% on Dirt/Mud. Like is said please add any info that you would like to.
Just exactly how much time are you Really going to spend crawling through mud and rocks with your F-150? You have a choice… You can have a set of tires with big chunky tread that look "cool" and provide good off-road traction, OR you can have tires that are relatively quiet on the highway. You can't have both.
Since I spend about 90% of my tiome on paved roads, I chose quiet over mud traction. I bought a set of General "Grabber HTS" tires for my Silverado 2500 HD 4x4 pickup. They are fairly quiet on the highway, yet they give adequate traction on the dirt trails and light snow that I normally drive on. They're not "monster mudder" tires, but I can still hear my stereo at 70 MPH.
- Can 225/70R16 tires fit on rims that have 225/70r14 tires on them? I have 225/70r14 tires on my Ford ranger. I just got some 225/70r16 tires of the same brand, Cooper, given to me. Will they fit on the 225/70r14 rims or do I need to get rims to fit the 225/70r16.
- Will a set of 235/60-R17 tires fit a vehicle with 225/50-R17 tires currently? If they do I'm assuming there would be a MPH difference on the speedometer. Update: The 60 series set is from a 2014 Ford Focus and are stud-less winter tires. They are to go on a 2012 Ford Fusion.

- Is it better to ride on 32 inch tires or 33 inch tires on a 2010 f150? As of right now I have 33 inch tires on my 2010 ford f150 supercrew cab truck. It has a 2 inch leveling kit. The previous owner put 33s on it. When I make sharp turns I feel maybe the tire size is maybe too big? It's always making a grinding noise
