Since I'm going to replace my trucks head gasket should I worry about any consequences?
2002 Ford F150 6 cylinders 4.2 engine
Not if you do it right…
As long as you haven't gotten water into the crank case and left it set in there and cause rust issues, it should be fine if you do the install correctly. Also, if you overheated it too much it could've warped the heads or even cracked the block. Nothing is for certain with a blown head gasket. Could be fine. Could be screwed. Just depends on a lot of different variables.
You better fix it soon due to coolant entering crankcase and demolishing/pitting bearings, as well as a misfire over extended time WILL ruin the catalytic converter.

- How good is head gasket sealer? I have a blown head gasket on my 2005 ford e250 4.6L - i have been watching a few videos how people are talking about that they use head gasket sealer and it works. If it does, how many kms does it last? I have heard that it lasts people around 50k, what's your experience on it? Any help is appreciated.
