Is there any good year model of an f150?

I currently have a 2002 Silverado with 223, xxx miles and still runs perfect! I've had it for a few years and the only trouble i've had with it is replacing the front end joints. I'm thinking about getting a newer truck now (2008 or newer). Although I have always been a chevy guy, I really like the interior of the newer f150s. The only problem is that with all the research I do, there's some major problem with just about every ford truck that i've read about! Are there any certain year models of the f150 that didn't have such major problems? I first read a lot about the spark plug problem and then there was a lot to read about some tranny problems and so on.

I'm partial to the '03… Spark plug threads are "fixed" and the pain-in-the-@ss cam phasers didn't come out until '04… That being said… You're giving up the variable valve timing of the later engine. Then, there's that pesky blend door hinge issue… Plastic hinge breaks…

Every brand truck has there problems. Dodge has transmission problems, chevy has problems, ford does to. Fords make good solid trucks but id go with dodge ram if I had to pick for a brand new truck

Not since 1995. The joys of the Blue Oval, man. The Raptor is pretty awesome, though.
