I have a 2011 ford f150 that is now showing signs of rust. Should I trade it in?

The truck is a 2011 F150 XLT 4x4 with the EcoBoost. I bought it brand new. Lift kit, aftermarket wheels and tires, 2014 factory HID lights, custom made leather seats, aftermarket intercooler, air filter and custom tune. I put a fair amount of work into it. Despite me being ocd and taking good care of it (regular detailing done by myself including wax, cut polishing and claybar) there's now rust appearing in spots along the top of the outside of the box, the tail gate and on one of the doors. It's very minor and you'd have to look hard to spot the rust. I cleaned it with rust remover and used touch up paint so it's fixed for now but will come back. Is it time to trade it in? This was my first brand new vehicle I've ever purchased. Before this truck I drove old used cars. I was hoping to keep it for another 5 years at least.

As long as the rockers aren't rusted through, you can get several more years out of it.

What's it worth now and how much do you have to add to that if you want to replace it? What will it be worth in five years' time? It may be cheaper to just keep it

Hi so how long is it supposed to last 8 years is the normal life of most cars and trucks.

Any good body shop can repair that properly and permanently for a few hundred bucks.
