I can't pull my radio out?

I have a 1992 ford f150 and of the many things broken my radio is in the top 3, it can just stop on a whime and lose all presets, and even not work at all. It seams to happen when i turn other things one like wipers. I've learned that most of the time if i turn it off then bang reallyhard on top it will turn back on (i'm still unsure if that actually helps, it could be the same as blowing on a nintendo cartridge, you only think it helps) but anyway i have tried to remove it a few times. I was told to stick allen wrenches into its four corner holes but that didn't work. I took 2 very long pieces of metal wire and bent them into a u shape and stuck em in there. Its still stuck. I really don't know what to do. I'm about to just start taking it out in pieces

A Ford dealer should have the necessary tools and knowledge to remove the radio for you. If you ask nicely they might do it for a small sum, or maybe gratis.

You need ford radio tools but may have to order them because they are obsolete, no one carries them consistently. I need a set myself because i need them once a week. They have notches on the ends. When you press them in if you haven't ruined the clips, youll fell them kinda lock into position. Move both tools outwards toward the perimeter of the radio and wiggle it, itll pop right out.
