How to fix heater on 1989 f150 ford truck?
Depends what went wrong with it? If it is just blowing cold, it may be the thermostat which is dirt cheap and easy to fix. On the harder side, could be the heater core clogging up with gunk. If it was the heater core, your windows would always fog up and it would leak coolant. If it isn't doing those things, then change the coolant and pick up a 5 dollar thermostat and your good to go. If none of this works, go to the truckstop and buy one of those cigarette lighter heaters and throw it on the dash. Give you some heat and clear the windows better then freezing.
- Truck heater giving off funny smell? Have a 1990 Ford truck. When I use the heater it gives off a funny odor. It smells like a mix of old car that has been sitting and old oil. Any ideas on what it may be?
- Heater isn't hot enough in my car, is there a way to make the heater better? I drive a 1998 Ford Taurus Wagon, the heater on it is alright but when it's 10 degrees outside it kinda sucks. Is there an actual way to make your heater hotter?
- I took my truck my truck to ford to fix a very loud noise and when I Get it back same its the same? I spent eight hundred and something dollars to get this fixed they said I should replace two of them the front and back so they can have the same life span so I forked out another 400 bucks but now when I go home and has the same noise when I turn now they're trying to sell me a wheel bearing for two hundred buckS, its been 5 days what should I do
- Why does my truck overheat when I turn the heater on? I own a 1989 ford f150 standard cab 2wd 4.9L 5-spd manual. When ever I turn my heater on (winter) and it starts blowing hot air, my temperature gauge starts moving towards hot. I find this very strange because I'm pretty sure it's supposed to take heat away from the engine.
