Pry out the old one by punching a hole in it then pry from the hole with a heavy screwdriver. You might also be able to grip it with visegrips and tear it out. You can either press in an OEM replacement with a mallet or use the rubber plug with a tightening bolt in the middle.

Which one, there are four on the passenger side you see through the wheel well, and one hidden behind the exhaust (which may require removal) makes 5 on the side, two in back of block you'll need to remove transmission and flywheel/flex plate, or the one at back of head. The ones behind the manifold and in the back of the head you should leave til last after you've got a feel for it. You swivel them out with a large dull punch and hammer… Like hit the bottom and the top comes… Or smack it at 3 oclock and the 9oclock side swivels out do what makes it easiest to grab with vice-grips and then you finish swiveling or pullout, if one falls in try to fish it out don't labor long as they are too large to cause trouble in these engines and many have done just that especially at the back of head… Install by cleaning up the block area, use a socket that just fits into the new cup, apply a little permatex #2 sealer and tap it in… You can add extensions and swivels as needed or borrow/buy freeze-plug tools… Autozone loans them for free… Have fun… I prefer steel for replacements as they don't bend as easy and seem to go in easier… I do brass if the engine is out on a stand and i can knock them straight in… And only use rubber in a pinch though I've seen them last years.usually in the the back of heads… Grabbing them with visegrips ensures they don't fall in… And you should have plenty of room. I like a 3lb rigging hammer for this job.
