F150 can't open hood with grille guard, solution?

I have a 2007 F150 and just bought a Top Gun brand Grille Guard for it, after I installed it I tried to open my hood and the Grille hits the Grille Guard thanks to Ford's dumb but idea of attaching the grille to the hood. The Grille Guard doesn't have a release so that it leans forward to open the hood does anyone know of a solution so I don't have to push on my grille to pop it loose and get it open?

First can I point out that maybe the dumb but mistake wasn't Ford's… Maybe the person who purchased a grille guard that wasn't compatible could have some responsibility. It seems you have no choice but to return the guard and exchange it for one that is compatible.

Can you loosen the bolts on the grille guard and move it enough so it clears?

  • Where can I buy a grille for my 1970 ford Fairlane 500? I can't seem to find the part anywhere, its not listed in the parts magazine, amazon, ebay or any junkyards. The closest thing i could find was a 1968 fairlane grille, but i don't know if that will work
  • My car won't start in very cold weather! What's wrong with it and what's the solution? I've got a Ford Taurus 2003. When it gets very cold about = it cranks but won't start. There's no problem with the battery and the cables are tightened and fixed. However when I open the fuse box and move the fuses up and down and push them down real hard it starts just as normal. Any ideas?
  • Is a company always made to find a solution to a problem? For example, Ford made cars in the 1900s as a solution to replace horses. Its now easier to get to where we need to be rather than taking longer. We can also say that Walmart makes it convenient to go to one place for all our needs at a low price. Rather then going to various places at higher prices. Is that always the case or can you think of a company that did otherwise?
