Can lane-keeping assist be deactivated?

I'm not sure about you but I don't like the new lane-keeping assist feature on most new cars nowadays. It's not that I Don't like LDW because that just warns you somehow that you are going out of the lines on the road. What I don't like is LKS because not only does it warn you but if you don't comply with the warnings the car will automatically adjust itself so its in between the lines. I like to be in total control of my vehicle and I do not like my car/truck doing the driving. I feel like if you can't stay in between the lines on the road then you shouldn't have a drivers license. All I want to know is there some way I can deactivate that or get a new car/truck without it on there because the all new 2015 Ford® F-150 which I want comes standard on there. So, if anybody could tell me how I can deactivate or get my F-150 without it that would be great!

Great question!

Your Owner Guide states "Driver assist features, if equipped on your vehicle, are forced on: parking aid, blind spot information system (BLIS) with cross traffic alert, lane departure warning and forward collision warning system."

Also, per Ford.com, Lane-Keeping System does not control steering. The driver should always be in control and responsible for safe operation of the vehicle.
