2006 Pontiac Grand Prix GT or a 2008 Ford F150 STX?

The grand prix is the gt model, super charged, V6, sun roof, loaded, amazing shape, and 127000KM on it. I think its around $5000-1000.
The Ford is an F150 STX, V8 RWD, 137000KM. Amazing shape again, $9998.
I have a Grand AM right now, but I really want a truck, but it won't be the best in snow due to RWD. The Grand Prix was probably abused due being super charged. Which should I buy? The Grand prix is an hour away while the truck is like 10 blocks.

Added (1). The Prix is 8947

Who cross shops a pickup and a sports sedan. I find that odd. But I will give me opinion. As far as which is the most practical choice all around. The Grand Prix of course. Unless you need haulin capability the F150 brings nothing to the table other than a cool looking street truck. The GP will outhandle and outrun the pickup and will get better winter traction assuming you have decent snow tires on it. It will be more comfortable to drive everyday and will be easier to live with. Now as for reliability I'd say the Ford is better simply because the GP is has a more complex engine design and other electrical gadgets that the F150 lacks.

Oh and yes it is possible the GP was abused. But GP's, even SC ones tend to be driven by older people so less likely that is was beaten on. Do a carfax on it. See how many owners it has had. Also if the carfax shows the car was serviced frequently at dealerships during its life that is a good sign that it was well taken care of. You should do the same with the F150. Carfax can't tell the whole story but it can help weed out the worst ones.

  • Is a 2008 pontiac grand prix a good first car? Hi I'm 13 and I don't want a junk car. I looked into chevy, ford, dodge, etc. But I can't find a good car. Would a this car be good?
  • Trading my Grand Prix for an SVT Focus? I own a 2007 Grand Prix with 98k miles. I'm interested in a 2004 SVT Ford Focus, 5-speed with 146k miles. My car has some deep scratches on the rear bumper. No dents, just scratches. Would a dealer give me an even trade or would I have to trade in and pay it off?
  • Should I get a Pontiac Grand AM GT or a Ford Focus? I found a 2003 grand am with no issues as I can tell and a 2003 focus zx3 hatchback with no issues as well. Which do you think would be the better deal since they are both around $3k?
  • 2007 Pontiac G-6 or 2008 Ford Focus which is the better choice? I'm stuck between these two, my dad said that the pontiac will be more expensive to fix if anything went wrong on it and that the ford will be a better choice, but I like the style of the pontiac better. They both drive pretty good when I test drove them… The pontiac is 4500 and the ford is 3700, I just want to make the best decision so opinions please!
