1986 ford f150 windshield wiper problems?

I have a 1986 Ford F140 XLT and wy windshield wiper will turn on, work for a few swipes then turn off then back on then turn off about half way then start again. And once it starts to turn off and back on again it take a long time for it to wipe the whole windshield. I was told that it wasn't the switch otherwise they wouldn t turn on at all. And I replaced the motor and the black box under the dash. I use a lot of Rain-X in the mean time.

  • What are the thread and pitch measurements of the windshield wiper arm nut of a Ford Taurus 2002? The nut that came with the car out of the factory. The one I have now stripped and needs replaced. Went to O reillys for help and they told me to get the Thread and Pitch measurements and I don't have the tool for that.

  • Ford Focus Mk1 wiper stalk problem? When i push the wiper stalk down to do a single wipe it won't finish the full wipe unless i hold it and then release it at the end of the sequence. Its extremely frustrating and have tried everything that i can think of. I have replaced the stalk and still the problem is there. am i missing something?
  • 2012 Ford Focus Wipers go on by themselves, and don't work by wiper switch? My 2012 Ford Focus SE had a battery go dead. A day after that, the wipers went on by themselves while driving. They kept going after the car was turned off. Eventually they stopped. When I unlocked the car by remote, the wipers started again. When I need the wipers (rain) and try and turn them on by the wiper switch, nothing happens. Windshield Washer works, and all fuses are fine. Any Ideas?
