External condenser ford 460?
My 460 seems to have an external condenser on the passenger fender with a but connector. Does this make sense first off, and what would it be called? Every one I find seems to have a blade connector.
Noise suppressor.
The term is Capacitor. & yes, noise suppressor.
Car radio interference usually originates in the ignition system, the charging circuit and other electrical accessories.
The Interference was either picked up by the aerial (radiated), or was conducted into the radio through the wiring.
And because some alternators did not have capacitors, the noise was suppressed by mounting a capacitor on the firewall & connecting it to the nearby harness leads

- I was wondering if I can bypass the internal fuel pump with an external one? My 1999 ford focus fuel pump has broke and it's a bit of a pain to keep dropping the tank if it does it again, by the way it does not have a panel under the back seat. Would it be easier bypassing it with and external one and leave the old one where it is or would the sender unit not work properly
- How to hook up external amplifiers? I have a 98 Ford Explorer and I plan to buy four 6.5" component speakers for my doors. I was looking into JBL GTO638 s and want to adequately power them. What would I need and how do I hook it up? When I purchased the vehicle it already had 2 sets of speaker wire ran to the back. Could I hook the amp to these wires that run directly from the car battery and power my speakers with it?
