I was wondering if I can bypass the internal fuel pump with an external one?
My 1999 ford focus fuel pump has broke and it's a bit of a pain to keep dropping the tank if it does it again, by the way it does not have a panel under the back seat. Would it be easier bypassing it with and external one and leave the old one where it is or would the sender unit not work properly
My 2000 went through two fuel pumps (under warranty - one an extended warranty from Ford because they knew this was a problem) but the last one lasted until I sold it with 147k miles. The problem was eventually rectified (forget the exact reason - too fine of a filter or something if memory serves me correctly). Check around for extended warranty information too - probably not still valid but it was a recall at one points for a 2000 model year).
- Location of 1998 Ford Taurus fuel pump. Does it have a fuel cut-off switch? Car shut down suddenyl without warning. New battery and cranks but will not start. Suspect bad fuel filter, 130K miles and fuel filter has never been replaced.
- Can anyone sign my petition please? For funding for external wall insulation for homes The petition is on the gov website here: https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/189647 I can't afford to have heating on in my home, and wall's are concrete so can't put cavity insulation in do my house is freezing during winter months… Please sign and share if you too need external wall insulation
- My 1999 ford ranger has 20 lbs of pressure on the fuel line. Do i need a fuel pump? After I tested the pressure and shut the motor off the pressure went down to 0 quick. When I just turn the key I don't get any pressure
- When changing the power steering pump on a KA (54) can you use PTFE tape to seal the pressure line from pump? I have changed the power steering pump on a ford KA (54) and when removing the pressure line from the pump there was some kind of seal on it but I don't know what it was, so I was hopping that PTFE tape would do the same job at sealing the thread. Any help please. Andy.
