What's the right car for me?
First off, I currently have a car. Its a 1999 Ford Explorer. The only thing is the gas is becoming an issue. She gets 13.8 gallons a mile! Terrible for this economy. I'm looking for a gas efficient car that has good cargo space. If you good people know any such car please let me know!
Cars: toyota camry, nissan maxima & Altima buick lucerne, pontiac grand prix, chevy Malibu, dodge charger, magnum,
SUV/truck: toyota 4runner, some GMC, dodge nitro, dodge journey
I hope you mean miles a gallon. Lol
If it's time to upgrade to a newer nicer car and you have the money to do it then by all means go for it. But don't do it just because of gas mileage. You won't save enough on gas to make it worth the extra expense of changing cars. If you drive 10,000 miles per year you will save about $100 per year in gas for each 1 mpg increase.
I traded in my 96 ford explorer for a 2007 ford escape a few years ago. It's smaller but it has been a good car and gets about 18 mpg in the city and 23 on the highway.
Honda cr-v. Almost the same space as an explorer. If you still want the explorer, put a k&n filter on and the mpg will go up a bit. Use synthetic oil. An only downfall to your car is ford doesn't make them like they used to. 2001 was the last of the real explorers after that their down the toilet. Shame on you ford!
I drive a Subaru Forester and while it does not get the best gas mileage, the handling and all wheel drive are huge pluses for me. Here are recent mileage ratings for SUVs
Look at the ford escape.
- Why does my car pull to the right under acceleration? It goes straight when not accelerating, but if you hit the gas from a stop, it pulls to the right pretty hard, it has 92k miles, ford windstar, aligned at 77k miles… What could be the problem?
- When I bring my car to get an oil hange at a ford dealership, do I just pull right into the service garage? I've never gotten one I'm a new driver. I was wondering if I'm supposed to pull into the garage (the desk and stuff is in the garage) or park, tell them I need an oil change, and wait for them to tell me to pull my car up.
- Can bald tires make your car pull to the right? In my car Haynes Manuel they say it could be caused by bald tires, alignment, or other things i never hit no curves or anything, ever since my tires got bald on the sides, its been shaking at highway speeds and pulling to the right. My tires are bald on the saides but still have trend in the middle of the tires. I'm getting new tires today and balanced for free, will that be enough to fix my problem? Ford Taurus 1996 GL
- My car is leaning to the front right wheel but still drives straight? How do I fix it? Ford focus 2005 4 cly it doesn't effect my steering but I can head freaks and sqeeks when I hit small bumps. I also notice in the car It leans forward to the right front wheel. Seems alright but I wanna get it fix if it can get worst. I'm guessing it's a strut or spring suspension broken. What do you guys think?
