What is routine 'normal' maintenance for a 2000 Ford Explorer?

Added (1). With 163,000 miles on it.

News flash, it is in the owners manual.

That will vary based on the mileage interval

Hey, could be as simple as oil and an air filter, could be fluids, plugs, wires, trans service, brakes, alignment, blah, blah blah. Depends when the stuff was last done.

  • Is it normal to have to fill the gas tank of a 2000 ford Taurus se every week? Don't laugh. I'm ignorant about cars and this is my first one. I own a 2000 Taurus station wagon. I drive 6 miles to work and 6 miles back every day and don't drive many other places than that. I live in the city. I'm filling my tank every week and my boyfriend says that's way too much. He says I should replace the spark plugs. Would he be correct?
  • On my 2000 ford mustang why does my air pump (smog pump) only blow air for 5 seconds after start up? Is that normal? I have p0411 secondary air injection system insufficient flow detected. I've checked the hose that comes out from the pump, it's blowing air but I believe it should blow air for much longer than 5 seconds on start up.
  • 2015 Ford Mustang reliability/maintenance? I'm thinking of getting a 2015 Mustang V6 with manual trans. Everyone keeps telling me how unreliable American cars, especially Mustangs, are. But I think if you take care of it, it should run fine. This is a car I'd want to hold on to for a good while and learn to work on myself--but I've heard the 2015's have a lot of electrical components that make working on it yourself more difficult and something you've got to take into the shop. Thoughts please!
  • 2006 ford mustang v6 4.0 maintenance/improvement? I have 2006 ford mustang California edition and am looking for advice. What should I do to properly maintain it and keep it in great shape? I would also like to improve it as much as possible so that it can get close to a v8. What should the first few mods be? I know a cold air intake, headers, throttle, but what more is there and what order should I add these in? Any advice would be appreciated thank you
