2015 Ford Mustang reliability/maintenance?

I'm thinking of getting a 2015 Mustang V6 with manual trans. Everyone keeps telling me how unreliable American cars, especially Mustangs, are. But I think if you take care of it, it should run fine.
This is a car I'd want to hold on to for a good while and learn to work on myself--but I've heard the 2015's have a lot of electrical components that make working on it yourself more difficult and something you've got to take into the shop.

Thoughts please!

Even being savvy with vehicles, a 2015 will require special manufacturer specific tools, anything after 2000, prepare for some work being done by a certified shop. The electronics can get very tough, will need to be able to pull proprietary codes. They are, however, more reliable than older vehicles, and taken care of properly, the engines can take more miles, about double that of older vehicles, along with this, the mileage between oil changes is alot higher

I stopped working on my own cars when they started installing computers that control everything from fuel injection and ignition down to heater and air conditioning and the stereo radio. I'd rather take the car to a specialist who has the proper training AND the proper tools and equipment to do the job right the first time. BUT that doesn't mean that I don't keep up with maintenance and repairs as needed… It's just that I prefer letting someone else go home at night with grease under his fingernails and I can just kick back and enjoy the drive.

  • Is a 2015 ford mustang better or 2015 Chevy camaro? Hi, I've been wondering if I should get the 2015 ford mustang or Chevy camaro! They are both very similar but which one would be better and why! And is it possible to get any of those cars with automatic transmission instead of manual transmission?
  • 2015 Mustang GT or 2015 Mercedes C300? I will be getting a car soon, and I'm debating on which car I should get. A 2015 Ford Mustang GT Premium, or a 2015 Mercedes C300? NOTE: I will be tuning the car that I buy with aftermarket parts. I'm not sure, could you guys help me out? I'm also debating if I should use aftermarket parts on a Mercedes, which is brand new. (I will be turning 16 soon!)
  • 2015 Mustang GT or 2015 Mercedes C300? - 1 I will be getting a car for my 16th birthday, and I'm debating on which car I should buy. A 2015 Ford Mustang GT Premium, or a 2015 Mercedes C300? I'm aware that the two cars are in two completely different categories. NOTE: I'll be adding aftermarket parts to the vehicle I purchase.
  • 2015 Ford Mustang Fastback V6 or the 2015 Ford mustang 2.3L ecoboost? I'm trying to decide which of the two to get I heard online the eco boost is surprisingly a little faster then the V6 edition. it gets roughly 4 more MPG then the V6. the ecoboost will be about 1500 more then the V6 fast back lets assume its going to be my main vehicle. which one should I get and why? And which is superior? Your thoughts please. I'm not a gearhead so don't get too technical on me without using things I'll understand lol
