This 2000 Ford Explorer Limited has steam coming from the bottom?

I think it may be from an oil leak, but I'm not sure. Anyone know?

Sounds like an exhaust leak.

I can't make out the details. Check your coolant level.

It could be a oil leak. 2000 Explorers are known for that. My dad has a 2000 Ford Explorer that's gone from a minor oil leak, like you've explained EXACTLY, to a major one. And from there, he has had compressor issues, sensor issues, power steering failures, he currently has a leak and tear in his radiator Even! I love Ford. But there's a reason why people say they're "Found On Road Dead" vehicles. Lmao!

  • What is the switch on the bottom side of steering column on a 1979 Ford E250 Econline Van? My van will not shift into reverse or park and will not start. I have replaced the neutral safety switch, checked the shift cable and shift cylinder on the steering column. While doing that is see a sliding electrical switch on the bottom of the steering column which works in conjunction with the shift lever. What does this switch do?
  • Steam/smoke coming from engine? 2001 Ford Taurus, V6. Only 86K. Just to note had the car over 6 months now. Works great nothing weird going on, except steam or smoke coming from engine but I noticed only comes from front end and when it's night and cold outside I can see it. I just change the reservoir about a month ago. The air does have a small leak that I know of. What are your thoughts? Please & Thank you.
  • Weird noise coming from bottom of my car? Ok so i own a 2002 Ford Mustang GT, and there has been this weird, weird rattling noise coming from beneath my car. I'm running an SLP loudmouth aftermarket exhaust and i'm wondering if thats the issue. I'm no mechanic, so i wanna know what i'm gonna be dealing with before i go see for myself. I'm 16 years old as well, I'm also running a bbk offroad x pipe and stock headers(its pretty loud), so i'm wondering if that may be part of the problem too
  • In my car the one of the bottom radiator hoses has a huge split in it & leaking everywhere, how much and how hard is it to fix it myself? Or is it one of those complicated things where it needs to go to a repair shop? My car is a 2001 Ford Focus btw
