My car won't start, the starter won't even make a ticking noise?

I own a Ford Explorer Sport(2-door) 01, and I recently replaced the steering column, I hooked everything up bought a newwer battery, that had been ran dead, I put the battery on charge at 10milianp for 10 minutes and then put it on 50 milliamp… Turned the key and the airbag light came on(I removed my drivers seat to replace the column and haven't put it back in), the battery light came on and the check engine light came on (and I go to start it and it won't even click, the outside lights anf the compass will show and read correctly, but the interior open door sound won't even sound and I was wondering if anybody has got a clue? Any help would be awesome thank you! Also if any one knows the wire harnesses names too that wound be awesome!

Plug might be damaged

Well check battery cable, it might be loose.

  • Ticking noise coming from engine? - 1 I have a 1978 Ford Ranchero and there's a ticking noise coming from the passenger side In engine. And this car was given to me and I had my camshaft, timing chain set, and all 16 lifters changed what can this noise be? Could it be from a bad rocker arm? And what can I do to quiet this noise. I'm broke so I can't do any further expensive repairs
  • Car won't start, power works and makes a single click noise? I have a 93 ford Taurus. When I try to start my car, it was just making a single click noise and then would eventually start after I tried a couple more times. The other day it wouldn't start, still made the single click noise, I tried a couple more times and now it doesn't make the noise at all. The power works, my headlights don't dim or anything like that. I've had my car jumped and that still didn't work so I'm curious as to what it could be?
  • Car won't start even with jump start? I have a Ford Escort 2001. I checked the battery at Auto Zone, told me it was fine and had charge. The alternator is also good. The starter is also fine. When I turn the key there's no clicks. The lights on the dashboard stay on. Does anyone know what it could be? I've also checked the cables and connections.
  • Car won't start, radio turns on automatically when I try to start the car? I have a 2004 Ford Freestar and I attempted to wire it for pulling a trailer. Well, I messed something up because now when I try to start the car it clicks like a dead battery. If that's all that happened I would just assume the battery was dead but the radio turns on too and the lights on the dash go a little buggy… so I removed all the wires I installed but the problem still persists. Any help would be great!
