Looking for a 2 inch lift for my 2000 Ford Explorer XLT?
I have been looking on every website I could possibly find that offers lift kits all I can find is a 4 inch lift for almost 2000 dollars. Besides being a a little overbudget for me, I don't want a 4 inch lift. So is there any way to get a 2 inch lift done, I was looking mainly for suspension lift but at this point I may resort to a body lift if possible
The cheapest way to get lift is putting on slightly larger tires. If you have coil springs, they do sell rubber bushings that you stick in the springs which will give you one half inch per rubber bushing. You can also get pneumatic air shocks that can be used to lift the car. The Explorer is not a great vehicle to be lifting.
- Can I swap 15 inch tire an rim with a 16 inch tire an rim? The rims an tires are off a dodge van, they are 5 hole rims, the car I want to put them on is a ford taurus with a 16 inch tire on it.
- I have a 2000 ford xlt ranger with a 4.0 v6 and a lift kit will it do good on steep mountain roads? Roads like the white mountains in arizona if any bodys been there and the a/c affects it please post anything that will help Thank you.
- How much is a 2000 ford ranger with 170,000 miles and 3 inch body lift worth? It is a stepside, extended cab. It has a few probs… Window on drivers side doesn't work… Electric windows… And the tires are kinda bald… It also has a slight oil leak somewhere… It always leaves little dots of oil when it is parked. It does burn any oil at all though. What would it be worth you think?
- Can I fit 31 inch tires on a stock 1998 ford ranger XLT 2wd? I have a stock 1998 ford ranger XLT 2wd at stock hight and currently have have the tire size 225/70R14. I wanted to put 31x10.50R15LT on it. (31 inch tires). Would I have to lift my truck to put that on there or can I ride 31s stock.
