Is my car suppose to have a keyless entry remote?

I bought a used car and wasn't sure if it's suppose to have a keyless entry remote. It's a 2002 ford explorer xlt.

If it helps any, I have a 2006 Chevy Express van; and it does not have keyless. I use a key every time. It's a work van, and that has everything to do with it. Your truck may be the same way.

Keyless entry on an 02 Ford would be a keypad on the door.

The source has a procedure to test a 2002 Explorer for a keyless system. Disclaimer - although the site is popular, I have not personally used it. Anyway, if your vehicle passes the test the page has a link to go to ordering the remote and the remotes shown indicate they come with program-it-yourself instructions.
