Hifonics Subwoofers any good?
What are some opinions on 2 12inch Hifonics Brutus subwoofers. I've looked and can't really find any reviews on them. I'm thinking about putting them in a 2004 Ford Explorer with a 1600 watt amp.

No personal experience, but HF's cheap subs tend to get decent reviews even though they aren't that good. A lot like HF's amps.
Typically they are well worth the cost.
The HFX's, being better than entry level subs SHOULD be decent quality.
As for power -- you should ignore those meaningless peak power ratings. A cheap amp that claims 1600w may only be 400 or 500w rms.
The subs are 450w rms and have dual 4 ohm voice coils. They would be run best with a class D mono around 1000w rms at 1 ohm.
- New car battery for subwoofers? I have a 2001 ford Taurus se. I need to upgrade my battery and am looking to get a red top optimum. They don't have the exact fit so does anyone have any suggestions or experience in this field? What battery type to get, and what special slot to make it fit. I have 2 12" 5k watts btw
- Two 12inch subwoofers in my extended cab 2004 ford ranger? I have a 2004 ford ranger extended can and what i wanna know is, will two 12" subwoofers be heard from like a block away? Each subwoofer will be around 1,000 to 1,200 watts each and a 3,000 watt amp. I used to have two 10" subs but they were only 400watts each as well as the amp. Is two 12" subwoofers going to be heard a block away?

I just boughta headunit-Soundstream VR-64H2B Metra Dash kit- and 10 in MTX Magnum MB210SP dual enclosure and BOSS Audio KIT2 8 Gauge for my 2012 ford focus.is that enough for my car to be hooked up and also does anybody know about my headunit because their were no reviews for it on crutchfield… Also where can I get it installed locally and how much would it cost And would it take long. Also is that a good set up for a ford focus?
