Getting a louder muffler for my car?

I have a 2002 Ford Explorer. 4.0 V6. It sounds OK stock, but I want it to be a bit louder. So I've been looking at this- http://www.jcwhitney.com/flowmaster-super-44-series-delta-flow-mufflers/p3088949.jcwx?filterid=d16937y2002g128j1 The flowmaster 44 series muffler. Would I need to buy a new exhaust tip, or could they just attach the old one onto the new muffler? Also, would it sound good with just this muffler? I just want something deeper and louder, it doesn't have to sound like a F1 race car.

I have a explorer, 4.0. Don't put load mufflers on a v-6, am aso a gear head from the 70/80s the only thing that's sound good is something like a 327/383/427 beefed up. Your make a fool out of your self.

  • What muffler should I put on my GMC Yukon? I have a 2003 GMC yukon with the 4.8L. I want something deep and throaty and noticeable, but not too extreme because it is a daily driver and I would like to keep it somewhat classy, plus I like to hear the radio and people talking. I've had only Flowmasters on past vehicles, I've had the 40, 44 and 10s in the past but always on Ford engines. Any suggestions? Don't have to be flowmasters by the way
  • What kind of muffler should I get? So I recently got a 95 ford mustang and I'm looking into putting a new muffler on it. Actually I'm. I want it to sound more beastly and mean. I'm either putting a flow master 40 series or 44 super series. Also it's a 3.8L v6. Out of those two what one should I get? I don't want to add new pipes. Later on I might add a cat back but I don't know.
  • Is getting a lot of miles on a car actually bad for the car if the car is well taken care of? Back story: I have been using my car to visit a guy who lives about an hour away from me, and my mother has said that I "don't need to be putting all those miles" on my car. It is a well-taken care of Ford mustang with about 125,000 miles on it, and I have not noticed any issues at all. Cars are meant to be driven, in my mind. Is putting mileage on a care actually a bad thing, or is mother probably pulling an overprotective mother of an adult child?
  • Best muffler for a V6 mustang? I just bought my 2013 V6 mustang last week and the sound isn't suiting me all that well, it's not bad, just not good enough. I want to buy a new muffler to either have a nice sports car/race car sound or something nice and deep but not too throaty and gurgly. What are y'all's opinion on the best sounding mufflers and brands on this car?
