Ford Explorer XLT - Sport Appearance Package, vs Ford Explorer Sport?
I'm currently leasing a XLT sport appearance package and wanted to know what the price difference would have been and what features I would get, If i would have just gone with the sport.

What you get in the Sport that you don't get on the XLT with Sport Appearance package? Most notably you get the Ecoboost V6, which is significantly more powerful that the N/A V6 or Ecoboost I4. AWD (they market it as 4WD, but it's AWD) is standard on the Sport, The Sport has upgraded suspension. You can get 2nd row bucket seats on the Sport, Power flooding rear seats, leather, Sony audio system, nav, remote start, and Sync 3 are all standard on the Sport.
- Would a long travel suspension kit built for a Ford Ranger Edge/Sport also fit on a Ranger XLT? I found a long travel suspension kit made for a 2002 ranger edge/sport but I have a XLT same year. Would it still fit on and function the same?
- I have a '99 Ford Ranger with the 4x4 Off Road package. Does this include a heavy duty suspension? It's also a 6cyl 4.0 liter. I need to know because I need to change my rear parking brake cable and it specifies with or without heavy duty suspension. How would I know?
- 1998 3.0L 4x4 Manual Ford Ranger towing 1500lbs with tow package? I'm not too worried about it on the freeway, how will it do on moderate uphill road? I want to buy a boat and take it up to the lake. The boat I'm looking at weighs about 900 lbs, so I'm making a liberal estimate with trailer, gear, and gas.
- Should I trade my 2014 Nissan Maxima base for a 2011 Ford Mustang Base sports package? It would be a even trade. The Mustang has the Mustang sports package with includes pipes, and a upgraded engine. Any suggestions. I would be trading a 2014 for something that is older, but better. My maxima has a sunroof, and power seats, and the Mustang doesn't.
