Can you put a v8 in a 2001 ford explorer sport trac? If so from what vehicle - 1
You can install any engine in almost any vehicle if you have enough money and skill. A Ford 302 V8 engine would be a good choice.
The logical choice would be a 4.6 cammer V-8, but those things are W I D E! A 302 would fit much easier…
Yes the explore also came with a 5.0 so it will be a fit. But will also need the transmission to go with the V8 since bell housings will be dfferent
Can I? No. Why would you want to know if I can? In future, when asking about yourself, say "Can I?", not "Can you? Got it? Good.
Now, as for you old Sport Trac [properly capitalized] I don't recommend that you waste the money. You'd be money ahead to sell it and buy a V8 model.
