Is this a good price for a 2003 ford explorer sport trac?
I'm looking at a 2003 ford explorer sport trac XLT with 179K miles for $4900. Very Clean.
I have heard though that this ford engine is not very reliable.
Any thoughts?
Added (1). Edmunds shows 5k
Seems high to me for an Exploder with that many miles.
You need to do a few things if you are considering buying that vehicle (1) look at the edmunds website for info there (2) have a mechanic do a complete inspection of all systems prior to buying
Too much money for a high mileage vehicle.
Which engine, the V-6 or the V-8? I don't know the V-6, but I have the same V-8 in my Mercury that you would have in that truck, & doesn't give me any troubles. I did 4,000 miles with it in December.
