Can I drive my '03 Ford Explorer with this problem?
The O/D Off light is flashing. It says check transmission. I hooked up the magic code reader and it said I need a control solenoid pack or something. I'll fix that. Any idea how much it would cost? But I was wondering if I should still drive the car. I only drive a few miles a day. It has 180K miles so I feel like it's been a strong car and if it lasted this long it should be good. What do y'all think?
- Car acceleration problem and idle problem. The car is a 2003 Ford Taurus? . When the car is running and in parked its making a loud consisted rev noise. However the rpm needle thingy is not moving. when i'm in drive the car acclerates on its own with the speed ever increasing. i did some googling and learned that it can be the TPS sensor or the idle air intake valve, among a million other possiblities.
- 1997 Ford Ranger 4.0 V6 won't shift into drive after being driven. Takes longer than should to shift into drive when first started? It will go in reverse fine. First thing in the morning when I leave for work, it will shift into drive on it's own, but takes a bit longer than it should. After getting it warm, won't shift into drive at all. I can shift down to 1st or 2nd, then back into drive and it will "pop up" into drive within a second or 2. I also have a ODB2 error P1744 (Torque Converter circuit).
- I have a 1995 ford Thunderbird lx that has a V8 engine. The engine overheats fast and I can't drive it far. What might be the problem? I can only go up the road a couple of miles before I have to turn the car off and check antifreeze. Because, The antifreeze drains when I drive far, now I use water instead of antifreeze.
- How long can i drive without a heater core and can the fume be harmful? My heater core was damaged and has been removed from my car. Both hoses were sealed afterwards. I have a 1995 ford E150.
