2004 Ford Explorer iPhone music adapter?

I have a 2004 Ford Explorer with a one CD changer radio and I bought a FM adapter but I can't figure out how to make it work because there are no buttons on the radio that would turn it on.

The FM adapter will turn on when you plug it in. It syncs with a preset radio station frequency, usually one of several in the lower end often between 88 and 99, usually set by some option or switch on the transmitter.
You tune your radio to match that frequency (usually use one of your radio preset stations for this purpose). Once the radio is tuned, plug in your device, or connect bluetooth, etc and it should start playing through your radio.

Many cd changers use this technology to locate the changer out of the way, in the trunk, behind or under a seat and operate via a remote control, but tune into the proper frequency on the radio to use it.

  • What cassette adapter would work with a 97 ford taurus? I currently have an Insignia 3.5 mm cassette adapter, but when I put it in my car's stereo it tries to read it but then pops out? What I want to know is if this is the cassette adapter or my car only responding to a certain adapter.
  • Does my car have a place for me to plug in my phone and listen to my own music? I have a light blue 2005 Ford Taurus. I want to listen to my own music and not the stuff on the radio, but I don't think that there's a place to plug in my phone. I have a cd player but not a tape player (is that what it's called? I'm not sure.) Does anyone know if this type of car has a place to plug in my phone or if there's another way to do it?

  • How can I play music in my car from my iPhone without an aux port? I have a Ford Ka Zetec 2011 and it only has a USB port and no AUX. I know I can plug my iPod in and it will play random music, as the screen shows as connected so can't choose music, but I wanted to know if anyone knows a solution so that I can play it whist being able to see the screen and chose songs or connect my iPhone to play music?
