1999 Ford Explorer, hit curb and now?

I hit a curb in my 99 explorer. Only the front passenger tire hit. About a week later, I'm driving home and it's making a low pitched groan. Then the vehicle starts to swerve. I pull into a neighborhood, get out, check the tire, see nothing. Figure that's the que to stop putting off the needed alignment. Get back in, try to drive, but then the vehicle won't even move, the tire isn't rotating at all. I get out again, and then it's crooked, leaning inward. The brakes also shot at the same time (5 month old brakes). Any ideas what the problem could be? Besides a bad driver.

Without a doubt if the wheel doesn't rotate, you've broken the upper control arm or other suspension part. Once the wheel begins leaning it will contact other suspension components and is likely to jam up both the steering as well as the rotation of the wheel which also affects the braking. Its all together possible the brake disc and caliper may not be damaged but brakes don't work if the wheel can't rotate.
