2005 ford Expediton car problem
I have a 2005 ford expedition limited sometimes it will not crank and all the power works i checked the battery and it's fine but i have to go under the car and wigle at this wire next to the starter and when i do it cranks now i'm trying to wiggle the wire under the starter and it will not crank what do i need to do i really don't wanna get a new starter the check engine light is off it's a good car but i want it to run all the time
It sounds like you need to crawl under it and tighten all the wires on the starter. You may have already burnt out the solenoid by leaving the wires lose.
Get a wrench and tighten the nuts on the two terminals where the wires connect to the starter solenoid. Still no cranking, get a jumper wire, connect one end to the S terminal (the terminal with the smaller wire connected) and with key ON, briefly connect the other end to the positive terminal of the battery. If the car cranks, the smaller wire needs to be replaced or repaired.
Still no crank, get a jumper cable (the ones used to jump a car), connect one end to the terminal with the big cable and connect the other end to the positive terminal of the battery. With key ON, again briefly connect the smaller jumper wire to the positive terminal of the battery. If the car cranks, the bigger cable needs to be replaced. Still no crank, the starter has likely failed.
Repair the wiring
- Car acceleration problem and idle problem. The car is a 2003 Ford Taurus? . When the car is running and in parked its making a loud consisted rev noise. However the rpm needle thingy is not moving. when i'm in drive the car acclerates on its own with the speed ever increasing. i did some googling and learned that it can be the TPS sensor or the idle air intake valve, among a million other possiblities.
- What can I do if Ford doesn't fix my car problem? I recently bought a 2013 Ford Fiesta which has a week left of warranty. I heard a scraping noise at low speeds on the left front wheel. I took it to ford and after a day, they said they found nothing wrong and its a normal noise from the transmission. NO CAR I HAVE EVER DROVE HAS A NOISE LIKE THAT! I went to street mechanics and they all told me its not normal and it could be a faulty trans. What can i do before my warranty expires so i don't get screwed in the long run?
