What can I do if Ford doesn't fix my car problem?

I recently bought a 2013 Ford Fiesta which has a week left of warranty. I heard a scraping noise at low speeds on the left front wheel. I took it to ford and after a day, they said they found nothing wrong and its a normal noise from the transmission. NO CAR I HAVE EVER DROVE HAS A NOISE LIKE THAT! I went to street mechanics and they all told me its not normal and it could be a faulty trans. What can i do before my warranty expires so i don't get screwed in the long run?

Take the car to a different Ford dealer.

Make sure you have paper work from the dealer with them stating there's nothing wrong with the tranny. You'll need that in writing for if it fails and your attorney needs that paper work to prove to the factory you tried to get it repaired while under warranty.

The newer Ford Fiesta and Focus has problematic automotive transmissions. I think they extended the drivetrain warranty, so hopefully they will fix it. It was 5 year 60,000 miles, now it's 7 year 100,000 warranty.

Find local shop at ATRA.COM for diagnosis get everything in writing. Forget the "street mechanics"

A week left? The dealer is milking it so they do not have to do anything. Try another dealer.

Okay, so in short, the brake caliper is loose on the the rotor. It probably got knocked loose some how. It probably needs a caliper mounting bolt. Take it to a mechanic who knows what the fluff they are doing and tell them you think the brake caliper may be loose on the left front rotor.

If it was your transmission your car would be shifting weirdly, or, to put it in words that non mechanically inclined people would under stand, "the vehicle would feel funny when it is picking up speed".

Seriously, none of the people you have taken that vehicle to seems like they know a damn thing about, well anything.

Blow up your transmission

Buy a GM? Take it to a different dealer?

  • Car acceleration problem and idle problem. The car is a 2003 Ford Taurus? . When the car is running and in parked its making a loud consisted rev noise. However the rpm needle thingy is not moving. when i'm in drive the car acclerates on its own with the speed ever increasing. i did some googling and learned that it can be the TPS sensor or the idle air intake valve, among a million other possiblities.

  • How to fix a misfire problem on a 302 Ford? I have a 1970 Torino with a BOSS 302 and the number 6 cylinder(2nd cylinder from the firewall on the passenger side) is misfiring. I replaced the spark plugs, the spark plug wires, ignition coil, distributor(cap and rotor) and its still misfiring. It's always been that same cylinder since I bought the car a few months ago. I don't know if it has compression or it the valves are messed up, but when I took the wire off of the spark plug, it was sparking as the engine was running.
