2005 ford expedition 5.4 repair?
I have a 2005 expedition it has the 3 valve 5.4 engine. It runs great driving down the road or if you have it in park and running it idles fine but if you put it in drive or reverse it idles very rough. Check engine light came on and the obd-ii computer says misfire cylinder 3. Well we changed spark plugs, coils, and fuel injectors and it didn't change anything. Then we took it to the dealer ford service department and they said you have a misfire in cylinder 3 and we will just have to start replacing parts till we find it and that don't sound too good to us. So my question is what could it be that we can try to fix it.
Run compression on cylinder 3 to start with. Let me know when you find the head gasket leak.
- Where can I find a repair manual for a 6 cylinder, 1968 Ford Mustang? Haynes manuals only cover V8's and I haven't heard much good about the Chilton variety. Anyone have any good references for repairing/restoring a 68 mustang with a straight six engine? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
- 2005 VW Golf 1.6 or 2005 Ford Fiesta Zetec S 1.6 2005? First car for a 17 year old who has just passed his licence. Both cost similar amounts for purchase and for insurance.
- I have a ford f150 5.4 2005 and engine went out. Cost to repair idea? Photos are included? So i was told by a mechanic that my 2nd pistion broke and i needed a whole engine swap. I pulled the engine out and found just what you see broken. No other metals were found down in the oil pan. I think there's maybe a piece of rod in the piston area. Any idea what it may cost to repair? If it helps i live in central california
- Repair for a ford explorer hood? How much would it cost to repair/replace a 2013 ford explorer hood? There's a hole in it(1 inch by 1 inch) right over the left headlight from something falling on it. There also is a couple scratches on it around the hole from the object falling on it too. I was thinking it might need to be replaced due to the hole in it but if not how much would an estimate of the cost be? If it needs to be replaced how much would that cost?
