Your brake switch has gone out. It's a very common repair for older cars. Just take it to the nearest Ford dealership As soon as possible (you can get a ticket for not having working brake lights) and get it fixed. It's not an expensive fix.

- 99 Ford ranger XLT base model. Park lights, dash lights, and license plates lights out I checked online and realized it was probably a fuse which it is. Fuse 11 in my power distribution box. The problem is I keep replacing at and soon as I turn on my lights it blows instantly. Have replaced it multiple times. So then I looked under my truck and disconnected the wiring to my taillights and replaced the fuse, it worked it didn't blow. Dash lights and license plates lights were on so I figured some where there's a problem with the brake lights. Any suggestions?

My van has some issue with the lights: namely, the lights turn off in the on position when the dash lights come on, and turn on when they are supposed to be off. And it is always on. The tail lights all work fine, but the one light stays on. Regardless Whether the car is on or off it just stays on. Financially it would be great if I could do this at home, so I d love some help thanks!
