Need a tune up on a 2006 ford escape what parts do i need? - 1

What type of tune up are you referring to. Be specific

Plugs and air filter. Fuel filter if it is outside of the fuel tank. Cabin filter if equipped. Load test the battery. Clean the battery posts and replace the terminals if they need to be replaced. Change the oil and oil filter.

Spark Plugs, Spark plug boots (they sit between the coils and the plugs)… Keep in mind, if you see oil around the boot (very common) you will need an oil cover casket/o-ring seal. Not expensive but get a Motorcraft part. Careful with the coil plugs. They can get brittle and break and Motorcraft has a replacement electrical pigtail to change it.

Change the fuel filter (under the rear area next to the tank. Not hard just awkward.

i found Amazon to be a good place to get Motorcraft parts (plugs, boots, seal)… Just did all that to my son's 04 Focus, 2.3L which is the same as the Escape you have.

Much depends on service type. Standard? Major? After all we may need a new cam belt? Ideally a check with relevant year and mileage service sheets provided by manufacturer is best. Eg 40.000 service?
most services will always include basic items such as oil. Oil filter. Plugs. Air filter, then other times can be needed. Eg wire blades. Topping up fluids, pollen filter possibly brake pads and so on.
service check sheets are often included in owners manuals or are available online etc.

Oil

Ask autozone not the internet

Spark plugs, wires, fluids and filters, air filter, wipers, brakes, and tires (if they have low tread). This goes a little beyond a basic tune up but is well worth it.

Just change the plugs yourself, and go from there

Ok
