My air conditioner won't blow out the vents but blows out the defrost and floorboards?
I have a 2008 ford escape and the air works fine just doesn't blow out the vents.
Vent switch or servo, see your guy
Hi this sounds like the control cable has come off the vent control.
Possibly the blower motor or blower motor relay that is at fault.
There's a vacuum hose from the engine goes to the control panel then hose go to these little "cans" to move levers that move the flaps in the vents. A bad connection and no vacuum will cause the vents to not change

- Why won't my 1995 ford ranger ac blow through the vents? I have a 1995 Ford Ranger 2.3 and the ac won't blow through the vents. It blows through the top defroster, and on the floor. I changed the door actuator, but still is stuck. The fan works on all ranges low to high.
- I have a Ford Ranger 4.0 and the AC doesn't blow very cool air. I want to add refrigerant for very 1st time, never have added to any vehicle? I'm using a gauge to test the pressure. With AC on max the needle moves between 25 and 45, the blue normal range. The compressor cuts on at 45 and off at 25. This happens continuously. The outside temp is 80 degrees. Not exactly understanding what I was doing, I added a little refrigerant and now the needle goes to 47 in the yellow range. Will this do any harm? Can I remove the excess refrigerant? If so, how? Is the system fully charged? If so, why isn't the air cooler?
