Locked keys inside a 2001 ford escape?

You can easily just pop your door open. I have done this a million times with my ford explorer of the same year so its essentially the same door. All you need is a bunch of cardboard, a big flat head screw driver and a stiff thin pole or wire. All you have to d is jimmy the screw driver between the door and the frame ( be careful not to rip up the weather stripping) shove as many pieces of cardboard in the gap as you can, then put the screw driver between the newly inserted pieces of cardboard and pry the door open a lttle more, just like before wedge as much cardboard in the new gap as possible. Keep doing this until you have a gap large enough to fit the metal wire or rod in the gap to hit the unlock button.

To avoid any possible damage I'd take the VIN # and registration to a Ford dealer and have a new one made. Cardboard and screwdrivers are a recipe for dents and paint damage as well as a distorted door that will forever be making wind noise. A bit more expensive but far cheaper than body and paint repair work at today's prices.
