Is there anyway I can hook my phones music up to a Ford Escape 2005?
I'm getting my moms lame old car. Please let me know if there's a way!
On the contrary, John is incorrect, an AUX jack is an *input* as it takes a signal *from* another device and plays it through the sound system, furthermore most AUX outputs use a 3.5mm connector, same diameter as headphone jacks. You would just need a 3.5 mm male to male cable, that is if the 2005 Escape had an AUX input. The 2005 Escape never came with a factory AUX input, so you'll have to replace the factory head unit with one that does
To the other person who answered this don't listen to them… I HIGHLY doubt that car has a headphone jack… And even if it did an AUX cord wouldn't fit AND it would be an output not an input. Your only option is using an FM transmitter (which usually sucks) or buying an after market head unit with aux and/or USB input.
You can get a cheap AUX cord from radio shack and plug it into the phones outlet (for headphones)
- How can I play my own music in my car from my phone? My car is an 05 ford taurus and it doesn't have a cassette tape player so i can't use a cassette tape adapter. It also doesn't have an aux outlet or bluetooth. Just a CD player and AM/FM radio
- How do I hook up my ecu to my 2005 1.3 Ford Ka? I have a 2005 Ford Ka 1.3 petrol and I have been breaking it, unfortunatly the engine or ecu or shell did not sell. I thought I might get it back going again as a banger but I have cut all the wires on the ecu making it impossible to wire it back together as there's more than one wire the same colour. I have had a look for wording diagram to trace the wire and do it that way but I can't find any wireing diagrams. If anyone could help that would be much appreciated.
- How can I play music in my car from my iPhone without an aux port? I have a Ford Ka Zetec 2011 and it only has a USB port and no AUX. I know I can plug my iPod in and it will play random music, as the screen shows as connected so can't choose music, but I wanted to know if anyone knows a solution so that I can play it whist being able to see the screen and chose songs or connect my iPhone to play music?
- How to play music from my phone through the car stereo in a 2005 ford freestyle? The car has the factory radio which comes without an aux port. I would rather not have to use an FM adaptor. If there's a means by which I can install an auxiliary system of sorts could someone give me a link as well?
