How to play music from my phone through the car stereo in a 2005 ford freestyle?

The car has the factory radio which comes without an aux port. I would rather not have to use an FM adaptor. If there's a means by which I can install an auxiliary system of sorts could someone give me a link as well?

Sadly, there's no way to "Install" an aux input into your factory head unit. One thing you could do would be if the car has a tape player, buy a tape player aux cord and it would be the same as "adding a new aux input" Besides that then you should invest your money into a new head unit that has all the things you desire.

Does your stereo accept a Bluetooth connection? Some models will allow you to turn the radio to a certain station and Bluetooth connect audio from the phone

^wrong.

I have installed an AUX lead into my car.

Go on ebay, and type in Ford Freestyle AUX adapter.

Buy item

Fit it yourself (quite hard but I did it so definitely not impossible) or take it to a garage and they will fit it for you. Can't imagine they will charge you more than £30

It fits behind your CD player/Radio and is hard wired into the back of it. The lead will usually run out of your glove box.

Hope this helps.

  • How can I play my own music in my car from my phone? My car is an 05 ford taurus and it doesn't have a cassette tape player so i can't use a cassette tape adapter. It also doesn't have an aux outlet or bluetooth. Just a CD player and AM/FM radio
  • Does my car have a place for me to plug in my phone and listen to my own music? I have a light blue 2005 Ford Taurus. I want to listen to my own music and not the stuff on the radio, but I don't think that there's a place to plug in my phone. I have a cd player but not a tape player (is that what it's called? I'm not sure.) Does anyone know if this type of car has a place to plug in my phone or if there's another way to do it?
  • How can I play music in my car from my iPhone without an aux port? I have a Ford Ka Zetec 2011 and it only has a USB port and no AUX. I know I can plug my iPod in and it will play random music, as the screen shows as connected so can't choose music, but I wanted to know if anyone knows a solution so that I can play it whist being able to see the screen and chose songs or connect my iPhone to play music?
