Well, why did you change it?

If it is a screw on connection, likely cross threaded or not tight enough. If it is a clamp on tubing either the tubing is cracked or the clamp is not tight enough. Third option is that the new filter has a crack or hole in it near the connection.

Remove the oil filter and take the old gasket off of the flange where it's stuck. You're lucky. Most idiots just keep driving until the bearings get wrecked.

There's always a sealing edge or gasket. Or we have mis threaded it? Under tightened?
have we twisted anything? Dirt etc all can have an effect. However we can remove. Check carefully then see how to replace if undamaged with care!
