Are you intimated by lifted pickup trucks?
I drive a lifted truck for work. I don't do it because I want to be cool, it's functional. Need the height and ground clearance to drive on job sites to get to heavy equipment to fuel them or repair them if they break down. Its not a huge lift or tires, just a 4 inch lift with 34" offroad tires (not much bigger than stock). I've noticed people get nervous when I'm driving towards them on side streets or narrow roads. They pull over to the side when there's more than enough room for the both of us. In parking lots people give me the right of away or they just freeze and don't know what to do. If I'm stopped at a 4 way stop and someone is making a left or right turn towards me, they will wave me to go first. They don't think they have enough room to get around me. Are you intimidated by trucks? I only use this truck for work. My personality vehicle is a ford escape where I never have this issue with other drivers.
Added (1). For all of you getting mad. Keep in mind I DO NOT OWN this truck. It is a company vehicle that is used for work. The lift and tires are functional and required for me to do my job.
No
No. But it is partly an answer to why 1/5 of people in the country do not even have $2000 in their name.
Intimate:
VERB
intimated (past tense) · intimated (past participle)
imply or hint:
"he had already intimated that he might not be able to continue"
The word I think you wanted was "intimidated". Big difference.
I'm used to driving around large equipment and trucks. It doesn't bother me unless the drivers are driving like idiots. And there are some who think they can intimidate other drivers with their vehicles. Those ones I ignore because the odds of one of them deliberately hitting me are very remote.
Not at all. In fact most trucks (lifted or not) get out of my way
Not intimidated, most people wave you on because most people driving big-honking pick ups are @#% wipes and they just don't want to be around them.
Intimidated ==== NO… Are you asking if I wish to become intimate with your truck == NO… Again… Learn to spell…
- Aren't you amazed by the capabilities and the size of today's full-size pickup trucks? I drive a 2011 Ford Ranger XLT 4x2 with a 4.0 liter V6 (~245 ci.) engine. I was looking up the specs for early-mid 1960s F100s (considered full-size), and they have nearly the same GVWR, towing capacity, payload, horsepower, wheelbase, and height as my "compact" truck. In your opinion, do you think today's full-size trucks are amazing or too fancy/over-sized (a traditionalist like me)? P.S.: I like all American vehicles
- Any new interesting news about Gm, Ford or mopar performance vehicles coming out in 2018,2019? Trucks, cars, trucks, SUVs, Hatchbacks? Mopars has brought out extreme amounts of muscle cars, trucks, SUVs, full size and mid size sedans. Other than cadillac is there any other American an brands coming to compete? Or is mopar going to compete with the raptor/Shelby for trucks or for small/hatchback against Ford and there focus st/r's?
