Added (1). I have reset timing setting by the ford book, time after time, this just happened without warning. What to do?
I think the circuit might have got rewired, have you tried turning them on?
Sounds like a switch has failed or we have short. Remove fuse for moment save getting a fat battery, if we can't trace issue? Then any decent garage ought to soon sort for you.
Try turning the instrument cluster dimmer switch one way and then the other direction while the doors are closed. Allow time for any light timer to turn off.

- 99 Ford ranger XLT base model. Park lights, dash lights, and license plates lights out I checked online and realized it was probably a fuse which it is. Fuse 11 in my power distribution box. The problem is I keep replacing at and soon as I turn on my lights it blows instantly. Have replaced it multiple times. So then I looked under my truck and disconnected the wiring to my taillights and replaced the fuse, it worked it didn't blow. Dash lights and license plates lights were on so I figured some where there's a problem with the brake lights. Any suggestions?

I had it in park and I did have the driver s door open it was night time too. I don't know what could be the problem btw it's a ford 500 2005. It was raining all day so maybe the water gpt inside something but it wasn't raining when I had the door open. Oh btw it was also making a service ding ding npise too with every flickering.
