Can i test drive a car if i don't have my license with me?

I'm thinking about buying a used 2007 ford edge from a small car lot. But i lost my license and the dmv said it would take 10-14 business days to get a new one. The dealer doesn't have sale people. It is just him and his wife whom work there and they are leaving for a 3 week vacation friday morning so i would like to get all this done before then. Will they let me test drive it without a license?

No you will need identification (valid DL) to test drive and apply for a loan (legally).

Can you legally drive ANY car without a license? No. Therefore, go home, get your license, come back and test drive the vehicle. Since you lost it, and are waiting for it to arrive, you still can't legally drive any car, even your own, until that replacement license arrives.

99.9% of the time, the dealer is going to want to make a copy of your drivers license before they let you take a vehicle for a test drive. If you don't have your license, you won't be taking a test drive.
