Ac and heat will not turn on in my 2010 Ford Edge. I see buttons below the air control that light up (A/C, R, and a car with an arrow)
Look in the car's manual book.
The buttons you have describe turn on your air conditioner (A/C), rear window defogger (R), and set whether or not you want air circulation from the inside or outside of your vehicle.
The blower control is the circular knob on the far left, with settings 1 through 4, which set the fan speed.
If the fan does not function then either your blower motor relay is blown or the blower motor itself has failed. 
Check for a clogged cabin air filter (if equipped). Set the fan to the max speed setting. If you do not hear any sound at all, the blower has failed. Take the car to a garage.
The owners manual will explain switches and buttons. Bear in mind we also need to set the 'heat' level as well. Eg fully to right ( red ) ought to with a/c on and fan. After a few minutes give out heated air. We can then set to screen? Face? Face and feet etc.
ifs we get NO heat with warm engine. A/c on and demand for 'hot' after say 5-6 mins then we have a technical issue. Is fan actually blowing? Has a fuse blown? Plus other factors. Often easier and quicker in long run to simply pop I'm local dealer /garage and have it checked out.

- Changed heater control valve AND panel and still only hot air? It's a ford ka… Was blowing hot air out air con when switched off. So changed the valve and worked for a day then back to normal… Changed the panel (2nd known problem) and that hasn't worked? When my engine is off… I can get cold air?
- I have a 2000 dodge caravan and the rear heat works great but the front heat blows cold? The blower motors all work fine, has new water pump and brand new coolant. The top vents in the dash blow lukewarm warm but if you switch it to defrost it comes out ice cold but the rear heat still blows super hot air. Coolant level is full. I've read about the blend door could that be the issue? Could a coolant line to the front dash be clogged? I'm a ford mechanic but kinda stumped and have never worked on a dodge.
