2009 Ford Edge SYNC. AUX?
I just purchased a 2009 Ford Edge and can't figure out the SYNC system. Is it something that I have to register for? Is it something I have to buy and add to the car. I have looked and looked for answers but nothing, that I need, is coming up. I have tried plugging in an AUX cord with my Samsung Galaxy S5 and it will not show In Line as an option. It just shows AM, FM & SAT 1,2 &3. I hit the AUX and Media button and it only brings up the SAT stations. Do I even need SYNC for my AUX to work? I have also tried to plug in a Flash drive in the USB port… Nothing. Is there something that I'm missing? The car has the SYNC emblem on the dash, as well as the SYNC handbook with the manual. I was assuming it was something that automatically came equipped with the vehicle! Thanks a bunch in advance~ if any specific details are needed, I'm more than willing to share!

I ended up figuring it out for any of you who have the same issue… Pull the SYNC Fuse out. Leave it out for 10 minutes and then replace it. That's how you reset the SYNC.
- How to change my Ford Sync US Frequency to different region? I have a Ford Mustang 2013 which is imported from USA. The FM frequency jumps odd decimals. Is there a way to change the region, have some adapter, or will Ford dealers help. I'm in Dubai, UAE. I just don't want to take a drastic step in replacing the radio system. Some software/hardware hack that can help fix this.
- 24 hour mode in Ford SYNC? Is there a way to switch the clock displayed on the SYNC screen from the 12 hour AM/PM mode top a 24 hour format? The 2014 Mustang owner manual does not provide any clue as to how, or even if it is at all possible.
- Ford Sync not turning on? My ford sync worked fine a week or two ago, but lately it won't even turn on. I've tried to perform a master reset but it I can't access the options when I can even start sync up. The phone button on the radio doesn't work either, which is probably related to this. Any ideas on what's going on?
- Why does my car have an aux button but no aux jack? I have a 2007 ford focus and I have an aux button in my car but I don't see an aux jack anywhere, why is that? Or is it hiding somewhere?
