In the state of California, where can I go to have my 1986 Ford F250 professionally restored?
I have a 1986 Ford F250. It runs really well, but it's got over 1 million miles on it. It's got some rust damage, none of the gauges work, some other miscellaneous damage… Etc… The point is, I live in California, and I'm wondering if anyone out there knows of a good location to go to, and have some professionals restore a 1986 Ford F250. Thanks for all future replies!
Added (1). Update: Money isn't an issue for me, as this truck has a massive amount of sentimental value, I can't simply get rid of it. I want to restore it for my future generations.
Professional restorations are EXPENSIVE. 1980s Ford pickups? Not so much. Sending the truck out to get it restored will cost tens of thousands of dollars. You will have a truck worth a few thousand when you are done.
The only way having a truck of that condition and vintage restored makes any sense whatsoever is if the truck has a lot of sentimental value, and you have the financial ability to sink $50,000 into a project that will net you a $5,000 truck when finished. You will lose a lot of money on this project. Don't do this unless you have enough emotional attachment to the truck to make the financial loss worth it.
- In the state of Ohio can I fundraise for me to do a camp? I wrestle and I want to do some wrestling camps/ clinics over the summer, the only problem is I can't afford them. Is it legal to do a fundraiser in Ohio for me to fundraise money so I can go to camp?
- If you have enough money, can you have a new classic car built? Like can I pay to have ford build me a 1970 Mustang? Lets say I don't want to buy an old car and restore it, I want a 1970 but straight off the factory line. Can you have a car built with the old style frame, engine, trans, etc?
- I have a 1986 ford with the C6 tranny on a motorhome what fluid does it take? It looks like from what I was reading that type F is what will work but then I ran across info that states its only used in c6's from the 70's. Am I ok using type F? Also this vehicle is new to me is there anyway to tell what fluid type is in it now?
- I have a 1986 Ford Thunderbird? My dad gave it to me and it's like a third child to him. He claims that it is a very good car and is pretty fast. I looked up the specs and it has 145hp and a top speed of 105. He claims to have had it way over that. So my question is is this car really all that he's making over it? If I need to do engine work is it worth it? It only has 145,000 miles on it.
