How about a 2011 chevy 3500HD HO diesel dually?
Yea I'm looking to buy a Chevy 2011 3500HD HO with a Allison trans 6.6 duramax diesel 4 door and 4wd and we test drove it and lemme tell you it weighs over 9,000 pounds and still has more guts than a little f-350 super duty ford… And is a lot bigger than any other ford I've seen… What's your guys opinion?
First - What job will the truck be doing? If you haul/pull for a living, bigger is better. If you just drive around looking cool, either will fill the bill.
Good truck to put to work pulling and hauling. Just for a daily driver is overkill. Don't forget that a dually requires another set of driving skills to keep from running off the road or running over other cars on narrow country roads.
My guy says it sound like your mind's made up.
Great truck and remember that those motors and trannies is what we used in Iraq and Afghanistan and they are bullet proof. I just sold my 2011 Lifted GMC truck and purchased a 2014 GMC Z71. Great power and good on gas.
I thought the 6.6L was pretty near the bottom of the torque list when it comes to the domestic diesels? Don't get me wrong, I think the 6.6L is a good motor (only one that doesn't remind everyone within a mile it's a diesel) but pretty sure it's not at the top of the power list.
- Will a 1997 ford bench seat fit a 2000 f350 dually? Someone's selling a 1997 bench seat from a crew cab ford just wondering if it ll fit my 2000 f350 dually regular cab?
- Chevy dodge or ford? Which to get? Also gas or diesel?
