2008 Ford F250 5.4 liter gas engine noise from the valves?

I have a 2008 Ford f250 5.4 gas truck. The engine is making a loud noise from the valves. This started a couple of days ago. The engine has only 27,000 miles.

You have a 8 year old truck with only 27,000 miles on the odd? That means this truck has been sitting most of it's life. Are you using the correct weight oil? Ford recommends SAE 5w-20 weight and Synthetic oil is highly recommended. Do not use any other weight oil and I recommend you use 100% Synthetic. Also make sure you are using a quality filter such as Motorcraft, Purolator, Wix, or Bosch. INJECTION / FUEL SYSTEM Injector noise (ticking) is considered normal. Noise increases wilh rpm hot or cold and is recognized at the top of the engine. VALVE TRAIN Lash adjusters can make a ticking tapping noise noticeable at any engine rpm/temperature and is audible through the wheel well or an open hood. However, with the hood down, lash adjuster noise can be heard as a light tapping noise through the wheel well and is considered normal. The 4.6L 3V and 5.4L 3V variable cam timing (VCT) feature may emit a light knock in normal operation and is audible only at idle speed, with a hot engine (gear selector in park/neutral). More diagnosis may be necessary if you can't isolate the noise. Best to seek professional help.
