what other driving tips needs to be considered while going for long drive
Your radiator should be able to keep the car cool even at speed over a long distance. In fact formula 1 cars don't even have radiator fans like regular cars do. They rely on driving at extremely high speeds to keep the engines cool. If you leave it still for too long, it will overheat.
in the real world, you should make sue that all your fluids are topped up. This means coolant, power steering, oil and tire pressure.
if your cars temperature is going up too much try to coast as much as possible and take more frequent breaks but for the most part you should be fine.
If possible have a second driver with you--if not, never drive more than a few hours and stop just to rest and stretch your legs if nothing else so you do not develop "highway hypnosis".
Make sure your oil and water levels are topped up
Never have the hood open when you are driving.

I was driving a Ford Truck. Is this how they list all trucks on tickets or did the officer make a mistake. The citation was correct just not the type of vehicle.
