Covering vinyl seats in a car?

I drive a 1970 ford f100 pickup truck. In the winter when the weather is cooler, it is fine driving and sitting on the vinyl seats. In the summer, when its 115 degrees outside, the vinyl seats provide no ventilation and you stick to them within seconds and you always have that 'wet' pant feel when you get out. I was looking for some suggestions on how I can temporarily cover the bench seat in the summer time and remove it in the winter when the weather is cooler. There are no headrests on the seats.

That's what we in the industry call a seat cover. Those are, or used to be, readily available at any parts store. Get one for a bench seat.

  • How do i get rid of weed smell on my car seats? I recently purchased my first car and the car is perfect but the seats reek of cigarettes and weed and I would like to shampoo it but I simply don't have the time to do it or the money to pay someone to do it. Plus it's embarrassing when I have people ride with me. Is there a spray or something I could use to rid my seats of that odor that's affordable and not time consuming? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
  • Matte Black vs Gloss Black Vinyl stripes? So I have a Ingot Silver 2014 Ford Mustang and was wondering what stripes would look the best on it. I heard that gloss shows every little imperfection (scratches) while with matte black, you can't wax them. I'm leaning more on matte black just because I know that seeing the little scratches on the gloss black over time will really irritate me.
  • Can you fit a 6ft ladder in a ford fussion with back seats down? I'm thinking about leasing a new Ford Fusion, but occasionaly have to bring a 6ft ladder with me when I'm running drop cords through ceilings. Want to know if the fusion had enough space with the seats down to fit a ladder.
  • How to get the seats in my car looking brand new again? I have a 2005 Ford Focus and the seats are a tan and you can clearly see little stains and even big ones. I want to know if there's an easy carpet cleaning fix I can do myself that's not so expensive or even if anyone knows a car wash or anywhere that does inside cleaning and making your car look like new again would be great!
