Could a chevy transmission fit a ford?
So i found an 1984 chevy truck looks just like my ford and is a year older just wondering if a chevy transmission from that year could possibly fit a ford? Or vis versa?
Will cost more than just buying a complete working truck.
I'm sure you could come up with some kind of adapter aparatus. But that kind of thing is an abomination in the gearhead world.
A Ford is a Ford. A Chevy is a Chevy. Anything can be done with enough money and lack of intelligence, but the smart money is on getting the correct transmission in the first place.
- Will a 2006 taurus auto transmission fit a 2004 ford taurus? I have a 2004 ford taurus with an auto transmission. At first it was jumping out of overdrive, now it won't go in to overdrive and it slips.
- What's the largest engine I could fit inside of a 2004 Ford Ranger Edge 2D that has a 3.0 L V6? I'm thinking maybe a Chevy 327, but that would require a lot of work as making room or getting and Chevy transmission to go with the Chevy 327. On the other hand I could put a Ford 286 or 302 in there supercharge that **** up and it would be a monster.
- Can you get a 2015 ford mustang and Chevy camaro in automatic transmission instead of manual transmission? Hi, I'm thinking about buying a 2015 ford mustang or Chevy camaro. Both of the cars come in manual transmission! Is it possible to get it in automatic transmission instead? Can I just ask the dealer (dealership) to give me the car with automatic transmission or do I have to change it myself?
- Ford Fiesta, Chevy Sonic, Hyundai Accent, Honda Fit, Kia Rio, Mazda2? These subcompact cars are all so similar. I can't decide which one is best. - Ford Fiesta SE Hatchback - Chevy Sonic LS Hatchback - Hyundai Accent GS Hatchback - Honda Fit - Kia Rio LX - Mazda 2 Which one would you choose and why? Which one would you not choose and why?
