Car almost stalls in drive and reverse?

I have a 1971 Ford LTD with a newer 351M and a c6 in it. Its my daily driver, here lately when I put it in drive or reverse, I go to give it gas and it.jist sputters to go, it takes a few to get it there, and its really slow going from 0 to 20, then it shifts and it slowly gets better, I have no problem after I pass 30mph. I checked the fuel filter and air filter what can it be?

Fuel pump

Explain in more detail please.

  • I have 1998 Ford Windstar as of now when I put in drive/reverse it won't move. It just revs. The car starts up fine? It started while I was driving down the road and I pressed the gas to go a little faster and my rpm went up to 4 and went down. I have an automatic too. There's no burnt smell in my transmission fluid stick/tank. I just left the gas station before this happened if that helps. Any ideas? Someone suggest my second/reverse band and I have never heard of it.
  • I have a ford forte when I turn my air con on it makes a noise then my car stalls? Ever since it did that even with the air con off it makes like a funny hissing/airflow noise it's hard to explain. I'm worried because I'm ment to be going on a long drive tomorrow
  • My car won't move in drive or reverse? I have a 96 ford thunderbird 4.6L v8 I was going down the road about 40 mph when I heard a deep kind of grinding/screeching noise under my car it was raining so I didn't pay it any mind thought a belt was wet or something but then I pulled into a parking lot and then it started to shake/vibrate and then my rpms went through the roof I could not reverse or drive I thought it could be u-joints or flex plate (btw it was the first time actually driving the car in about a year)
  • In drive I push down on the gas pedal but the car won't move. It will then jump and drive normally? Question: as I put my car in drive and push on the gas, my car will make the sound as it should if it were actually moving, but doesn't at all even if I floor it. Then finally it will just jump and start driving normally. I have a 2003 Ford Explorer and yes my engine light is on. Even if I stop at a red light this will happen. Any info is appreciated.
